Scholarship Description
The Commonwealth Scholarships for Master’s study in the UK are offered for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. These Scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
The Commonwealth Scholarship scheme is aimed toward students from across the Commonwealth who wouldn’t rather be ready to afford to review within the UK. By funding postgraduate studies during a range of various study formats, the scheme helps to support future innovators and leaders.
This historic award is that the UK’s primary scholarship scheme focused on supporting British international development goals. it’s designed to draw in outstanding talent to UK universities whilst also supporting sustainable development overseas.

- To apply for a Commonwealth Scholarship, you have to be a citizen or permanent resident of a Commonwealth country.
- You’ll still be eligible if you’re a refugee or British protected person.
- You also got to have an undergraduate honours of a minimum of upper second class (2:1). If you would like to review a PhD, you’ll need an appropriate master’s degree too.
- Finally, you want to be unable to afford to review within the UK without the scholarship. The eligibility criteria for every sort of scholarship and fellowship vary.

Scholarship Value
Fully funded (Most scholarships are fully funded, which means that, as well as covering your tuition fees, you will also receive your airfare to and from the UK, and a living allowance to support you while you are there.)
Scholarship Deadline
Annual deadlines for applications are usually in December.
Application Procedure
Depending on which Commonwealth scholarship you are applying for, you may need to apply through a National Nominating Agency , a University , or a Non-Governmental Organisation .
